400G QSFP-DD Transceivers and Its Fiber Type and Connector Type

The QSFP-DD stands for a “Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP) – Double Density (DD)”. The QSFP-DD connector also has 8 electrical lanes. The QSFP-DD form factor is similar to the QSFP form factor, except a second row of electrical contacts has been added to the QSFP connector in order to increase the number of high speed electrical lanes from 4 (in a QSFP) to 8 (in a QSFP-DD).

QSFP-DD SR8, 8x50G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 400 Gigabit links over 100m multimode fiber. They are compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA.

QSFP-DD DR4, 4x100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 400 Gigabit links over 500m single mode fiber. They are operating on 1310nm wavelength, and are compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA.

QSFP-DD FR4, 4x100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 400 Gigabit links over 2km single mode fiber. They are operating on CWDM4 wavelength, and are compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA.

QSFP-DD LR4, 4x100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 400 Gigabit links over 10km single mode fiber. They are operating on LAN-WDM wavelength, and are compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA.
