{"id":2815,"date":"2016-10-31T06:19:21","date_gmt":"2016-10-31T06:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tarluz.com\/?p=2815"},"modified":"2018-02-24T05:36:09","modified_gmt":"2018-02-24T05:36:09","slug":"quais-vantagens-das-fibras-opticas-sobre-os-cabos-de-cobre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tarluz.com\/ar\/optical-fiber\/quais-vantagens-das-fibras-opticas-sobre-os-cabos-de-cobre\/","title":{"rendered":"Quais as vantagens das fibras \u00f3pticas sobre os cabos de cobre?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Os cabos \u201cpares tran\u00e7ados\u201d e os cabos coaxiais est\u00e3o rapidamente sendo substitu\u00eddos por fibras \u00f3pticas por diversas raz\u00f5es, veja abaixo algumas delas:<br \/>\nAtrav\u00e9s das fibras \u00f3pticas, um sistema de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o possuir\u00e1 uma maior capacidade de transmiss\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00e3o ou largura de banda (largura de banda \u00e9 uma medida da capacidade de uma fibra \u00f3ptica transmitir dados). Al\u00e9m de uma maior largura de banda, as fibras \u00f3pticas podem transmitir dados numa velocidade muito maior e s\u00e3o de f\u00e1cil instala\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>\nUma primeira raz\u00e3o para o uso de fibras no lugar dos cabos de cobre \u00e9 a perda na pot\u00eancia do sinal transmitido. Os sinais que s\u00e3o transmitidos atrav\u00e9s de uma fibra \u00f3ptica experimentam menor atenua\u00e7\u00e3o (ou perda da pot\u00eancia dos sinais) e, portanto, podem viajar por dist\u00e2ncias muito maiores. Mesmo para dist\u00e2ncia relativamente curtas, as fibras \u00f3pticas ainda se sobressaem aos cabos de cobre mais avan\u00e7ados.<br \/>\nA velocidade, taxa e capacidade de transmitir informa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma fibra \u00f3ptica \u00e9 maior que qualquer sistema baseado em cabos de cobre. De outra maneira, podemos dizer que a fibra \u00f3ptica transmite muito mais informa\u00e7\u00e3o, em taxas muito maiores e por dist\u00e2ncia muito maiores.<br \/>\nUm par de fibras \u00f3pticas, cujo di\u00e2metro pode ser comparado com o de um fio de cabelo, pode transmitir 2.5 milh\u00f5es ou mais de chamadas telef\u00f4nicas ao mesmo tempo. Um cabo de cobre com a mesma capacidade teria um di\u00e2metro da ordem de 6m!<br \/>\nAs fibras \u00f3pticas sofrem menos deteriora\u00e7\u00e3o do que os fios de cobre. As fibras \u00f3pticas s\u00e3o mais seguras e reduzem significantemente os custos com manuten\u00e7\u00e3o. As fibras \u00f3pticas tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o imunes a radia\u00e7\u00e3o eletromagn\u00e9tica. Dessa maneira, os sinais propagados n\u00e3o sofrem interfer\u00eancias de geradores el\u00e9tricos, motores, linhas el\u00e9tricas de alta pot\u00eancia, rel\u00e2mpagos que freq\u00fcentemente s\u00e3o causadores de ru\u00eddos nas linhas de transmiss\u00e3o baseadas em cabos de cobre.<br \/>\nCom a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o da tecnologia, os tradicionais cabos met\u00e1licos foram substitu\u00eddos por cabos de fibra \u00f3ptica. A fibra \u00f3ptica \u00e9 um filamento de vidro, que tamb\u00e9m pode ser de material produzido com pol\u00edmero, que tem alta capacidade de transmitir os raios de luz. Ela foi inventada pelo f\u00edsico indiano Narinder Singh Kapany.<br \/>\nO funcionamento desses cabos ocorre de forma bem simples. Cada filamento que constitui o cabo de fibra \u00f3ptica \u00e9 basicamente formado por um n\u00facleo central de vidro, por onde ocorre a transmiss\u00e3o da luz, que possui alto \u00edndice de refra\u00e7\u00e3o e de uma casca envolvente, tamb\u00e9m feita de vidro, por\u00e9m com \u00edndice de refra\u00e7\u00e3o menor em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao n\u00facleo. A transmiss\u00e3o da luz pela fibra \u00f3ptica segue o princ\u00edpio da reflex\u00e3o. Em uma das extremidades do cabo \u00f3ptico \u00e9 lan\u00e7ado um feixe de luz que, pelas caracter\u00edsticas \u00f3pticas da fibra, percorre todo o cabo por meio de sucessivas reflex\u00f5es at\u00e9 chegar ao seu destino final.<br \/>\nReflex\u00e3o \u00e9 quando a luz, propagando-se em um determinado meio, atinge uma superf\u00edcie e retorna para o meio que estava se propagando.<br \/>\nOs feixes de luz que penetram no cabo \u00f3ptico sofrem v\u00e1rias reflex\u00f5es na superf\u00edcie de separa\u00e7\u00e3o entre os dois vidros que o formam e dessa maneira a luz caminha, podendo percorrer v\u00e1rios quil\u00f4metros de dist\u00e2ncia, uma vez que a energia nas reflex\u00f5es n\u00e3o \u00e9 calcul\u00e1vel. Utilizadas como meio para transmiss\u00e3o de ondas eletromagn\u00e9ticas, como a luz, por exemplo, elas s\u00e3o feitas em vidro porque esse material absorve menos essas ondas.<br \/>\nA transmiss\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00f5es pela fibra \u00f3ptica ocorre atrav\u00e9s de um aparelho especial denominado de infoduto, que possui um fotoemissor que faz a convers\u00e3o da luz em sinais el\u00e9tricos. A luz que \u00e9 refletida no interior do cabo \u00f3ptico pode ser transformada em sinal el\u00e9trico, sonoro ou at\u00e9 mesmo luminoso, dependendo da informa\u00e7\u00e3o que \u00e9 transmitida. As fibras \u00f3pticas s\u00e3o utilizadas principalmente nas telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es, pois apresentam v\u00e1rias vantagens em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao uso dos antigos cabos met\u00e1licos, conhe\u00e7a as vantagens da utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o das fibras \u00f3pticas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Tem maior capacidade para transportar informa\u00e7\u00f5es;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">A mat\u00e9ria prima para sua fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o, a s\u00edlica, \u00e9 muito mais abundante que os metais e possui baixo custo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">N\u00e3o sofrem com as interfer\u00eancias el\u00e9tricas nem magn\u00e9ticas, al\u00e9m de dificultar um poss\u00edvel grampeamento;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">A comunica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 mais confi\u00e1vel, pois s\u00e3o imunes a falhas;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Ao contr\u00e1rio dos fios met\u00e1licos, os fios de vidro n\u00e3o
