In diesem Zusammenhang werden auch die Bezeich- nungen BiDirektional oder BiDi verwendet. CWDM und DWDM sind weiterentwickelte Verfahren um einerseits Glasfasern zu sparen und andererseits die Transportkapazita\u0308t zu vervielfachen. Beispielsweise ko\u0308nnen auf einem Faserpaar oder ei- ner einzelnen Faser anstatt ein Service u\u0308ber 80 ver- schiedene Dienste u\u0308bertragen werden. Die Nutzung ist es ebenfalls.<br \/>\nEs liegt also nahe, dass man versucht, die Glasfa- sern so effizient wie mo\u0308glich auszunutzen.<br \/>\nIst ho\u0308chste Dichte ein Muss und mu\u0308ssen ev. auch noch unterschiedliche Dienste \/ Protokolle auf eine Farbe gemuxt werden ko\u0308nnen, wird DWDM die ver- wendete Technologie sein. In fast allen anderen Fa\u0308l- len lohnt sich ein Blick auf das passive CWDM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aktive und Passive DWDM \/ CWDM Systeme<\/strong><br \/>\nOb CWDM oder DWDM, beide Systeme beno\u0308tigen \u201efarbiges\u201c Licht, respektive bestimmte Wellenla\u0308ngen.<br \/>\nAktive, in der Regel modulare Systeme erzeugen die no\u0308tigen Wellenla\u0308ngen selber.
