Debido a que en un primer momento el \u00fanico despliegue que se planteaba era el despliegue punto a punto al ser las fibras un medio de transmisi\u00f3n bidireccional, esto conllevaba dos graves problemas:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\">\n<li>El precio del despliegue, pues para la conexi\u00f3n de cada abonado se necesitan dos fibras, una de subida y una de bajada.<\/li>\n<li>Problemas con los servicios de difusi\u00f3n como pod\u00eda ser el de TV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\">Debido a estos problemas, los operadores buscaron una soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s rentable econ\u00f3micamente que consiste en una red de acceso h\u00edbrida (HFC) con un tramo de fibra \u00f3ptica hasta un determinado punto o armario y un tramo de cable coaxial desde ese punto hasta los abonados. El cable coaxial es un medio de transmisi\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas intermedias entre las del par trenzado y las de la fibra, en cuanto a la distancia y la velocidad de transmisi\u00f3n. Su precio es superior al del par trenzado, pero inferior al de la fibra. Adicionalmente, este medio de transmisi\u00f3n permite la bidireccionalidad, \u00fatil para economizar el despliegue de la red y la problem\u00e1tica con los servicios de difusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\">Las redes HFC, a trav\u00e9s de los \u00faltimos est\u00e1ndares Docsis (3.0), disponen de una capacidad de transmisi\u00f3n aproximada de unos 100Mbps sim\u00e9tricos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\">En cuanto al espectro radioel\u00e9ctrico en HFC, se puede observar en la Figura, situada al inicio de la siguiente p\u00e1gina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4138\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tarluz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Frecuencias-de-los-canales-de-transmisi\u00f3n-en-HFC.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"199\" \/>Estas redes poseen el incoveniente de que siguen utilizando un medio de transmisi\u00f3n distinto a la fibra para uno de los tramos.
