MPO \/ MTP\u00ae adapters contain an asymmetrical housing including an inverted key to achieve the appropriate fiber polarity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Type A adapters, the keys are inverted to ensure that the fiber at position 1 is connected to position 1 in the MPO \/ MTP\u00ae cable connector at the opposing end (in case of 12 fiber connectors).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10389\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tarluz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Type-A-Adaptor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"209\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Type B adapters both keys are oriented facing up in order that both MPO \/ MTP\u00ae cable connectors are mated \u201ckey up\u201d wise. A male \/ female ferrule system ensures appropriate fiber alignment and low return loss values.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MTP\u00ae Connector<br \/>\nThe registered trademark MTP\u00ae is an improved fiber optic connector from the company US Conec based on a generic MPO design.
