800G and 200G – Server to Switch Applications<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Using Point-to-Point Cabling to Connect MPO-8\/12 APC to MPO-8\/12 APC<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

This scenario is suitable for point-to-point cabling. 400G optical modules support 200G transmission by using MPO-8\/APC to 2*MPO-4\/APC fiber conversion patch cords. A 1×2 MPO-8\/APC multimode fiber patch cord can activate two of the four internal lanes of the 400G optical module (i.e., 4 fibers out of the 8 fibers), thereby enabling the 400G optical module to operate equivalently as a 200G device.<\/p>\n
