Your Path from 800G to 1.6T

Starting in 2024, the demand for 800G is increasing, and soon in 2025 and 2026 1.6T will also delivered to the market. We shall explain the form factors of 800G and 1.6T modules.

Based on the applications, there are Pluggable optical transceivers, Active optical cables, Active electrical cables, Active copper cables, and Direct-attached copper cables.
QSFP-DD800 Quad small-form-factor pluggable double density, it supports 32 ports in 1 RU, the max lane speed is 112Gb/s at 56GBd PAM4
OSFP-DD Octal small-form-factor pluggable double density, it supports 32 ports in 1 RU, the max lane speed is 112Gb/s at 56GBd PAM4
OSFP-XD Gen 1 Octal small-form-factor pluggable extra density, it supports 32 ports in 1 RU, the max lane speed is 224Gb/s at 112GBd PAM4

There are On-board optics also, the form factor is COBO（Consortium for On-Board Optics） its max lane speed is 56 Gb/s at 28 GBd PAM4
